Hi guys, had an unfortunate scrape in car this morning, resulting in me slightly mounting curb! Checking car afterwards found the below hanging off under front left bumper. I've disconnected it, but looks like some broken wires too! I have no idea what it is??

External temperature sensor. You will note your dash cannot display outside temp any more. Also used by climate control system to determine where air should come from through the vents.

You mentioned it was the front left bumper is that the driver side left hand drive?

Yes, that’s right. Saw the little fella today as I changed my oil. In line with the inner tyre wall right near the front of the car.
