What is this Wire Harness Next to Radiator?

I have 2003 BMW Z4 3.0 and found this wire harness zip tied to the side of the radiator. Can anyone tell me the purpose of this connection?

I think this goes to an external sensor (part no 6411-6917001) used for the automatic air conditioning system. If your car did not have that option it may just be left disconnected.

I believe the early cars shared the same wiring harness regardless of what options were selected, so there are some extra connectors.
