What is this rubber band?

After I removed this intake tube, I found this rubber band.


This rubber band has to be sealed with an intake tube? I just put an intake tube back without this rubber band cuz I found difficulty to put it back with this rubber band.

Yup all good :) As for the rubber, I am clueless, I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly!
 
It's the sealing gasket from inside one of the air intake hoses. Can't remember which one but most likely the one in your first image

this seal ring has to be fitted with intake tube?
