what is this part called and where can I get a new one? It is in front of the front wheel. Can I put a jpg photo on here?
 
It’s a front splash guard, about £175 new from BMW and they sell for £60/£70 second hand from what I see.

£175 for that !!
I would phone someone breaking a Zed on ebay and offer £10 to£20 personally

I got one for my e89 a while back, used one on eBay was £15 but I got a new one from bmw for £9.50 :roll:

These are an aerodynamic aid..a bit dramatic, to help with underbody air flow.."pressure lip" is the proper title

I bought all 3 front left right..the left right averaged about £17 ish from ebay /BMW dealers

They are handed so make sure you get the right version

I suspected they were an aero aid, i could feel the loss of ground effect when mine fell off :oops:

You’ll find if you get up to 155 mph and then do an inverted roll it makes all the difference.. :thumbsup:
 
So are you guys saying that I don't really need to bother then because I would never drive more than 154 miles an hour!
 
Thank you very much for your help, very useful information and I found a good supplier LLL Parts. 12.77 including postage to France.
