Hello

When removing the cigarette lighter/ashtray thing in front of the shifter i discovered two connectors not connected to anything. What are they? Do they have som kind of purpose?
One is Brown and one is black, the ones in the bottom of the picture. Each of them have two cables connecter to the connector.
They are routed from the shifter direction and seems to be ending right under the ashtray/lighter assembly.

Cheers!

Brown is generally ground [earth]

Have you a multi-meter to check if there is power between them with ignition on / off / etc ... ?

Maybe for wheel mounted paddle shifters? Or pre-wiring for optional CD auto changer to talk to the head unit?

wouldn't it be more logical to have that wiring ...
1/ in the steering wheel console?
2/ behind the head unit?

There's quite a few connectors that aren't connected to anything in that area, we discovered them whilst working in that area on a friends car changing the gear knob. The loom is probably a standard/generic loom suitable for any spec of zed rather than tailoring each one individually to the car. I have no idea what they are for but guessing they would be for various options/spec for different markets :idunno:
This info will have been no use to you at all I know

The paddle wires connect to the shifter under the centre console.
