WHat is this button?

I've looked on my manual but cannot find what this is?
It's right by the aux in on a 2008 bmw z4 coupe.

I pushed it and now it gives 3 beeps ?

I've googled it and still no idea.
Can anyone advise what this is?

Maybe something to do with an aftermarket immobiliser? I used to have something very similar on a peugeot 205 GTI. Had to hold a fob against those pins to deactivate the alarm/immobiliser...

I've an 09 coupe, and there's nowt down there like that, my guess would be that it is a third party item (bluetooth module perhaps?), installed by previous owner.

I had posted this to the FB page and also no idea.
After speaking to the seller it is infact front parking sensor reset. It was fitted after the car was bought from BMW and also fitted by BMW.
Seems i parked my other car in front and hence kept going off. Can't believe i did that!

Not sure BMW would fit this, not seen anything like it before. If BMW did infact fit it, it's aftermarket, certainly not OEM.

Well at least you know what it does now OP!

BMW never offered front parking sensors on the E85/86, so I'd be surprised if they would have fitted it. :?

With a bit of luck pushing it again may turn them off.

100% fitted at a BMW dealership. Was fitted after purchase as last owner found the front too long parking in some spaces.
I'm glad it's fitted also as makes things better for me to be honest lol

I decided to go mad for a year............. thought I was a slice of lemon and spent the whole time jumping in and out of a gin and tonic.
