The standard E89 sterio please?
When I complained to BMW about the standard stereo I borrowed our works sound pressure meter and achieved about 87 decibels maximum. Unfortunately you cannot work this backwards to obtain a power output.
There does not appear to be any reference of the power output of the stock head unit without amplifier if that's what you meant, but I would guess about 25 Watts per channel
Regardless though, it is rubbish :thumbsdown:

Many thanks for the reply, my next car sterio is rated at 235 watts and I do not know if that's good or bad? :? and thought I'd compare it with an E89
235 watts is a reasonable amount for a standard system, I think the loudspeaker business upgrade gave 245 Watts so similar to that, the professional upgrade @ £815 gives 650 Watts. Just looked on the BMW international site and it states the standard system is 4 x 25 Watts maximum so, 100 Watts, if I had only known that when I ordered the car.
