I've bought another E89 , but the dealer kept the log book to register it in my name online , anyone have a link to the website that will tell me what I bought please :roll:

They did that with mine. It's so you don't know who the last owner was, so you can't contact them and find all the stuff out the stealer doesn't want you to know. Even the DVLA (read Government) are on the side of the motor industry these days. When you get your new V5 it won't give the last registered keeper's details. COVID regs for buying cars is playing even more into the stealers' hands; it's win-win for them.
 
Or you could just ask them. If they don't want to play ball, reject the car, that's the only thing COVID regs have given you as a consumer.

If I’m understanding what you’re asking correctly run it through a vin decoder or into an insurance website

There used to be a vin decoder on (I think) a bmw website, was easy to find on the forum , but alas I cant find it

If I’m understanding what you’re asking correctly run it through a vin decoder or into an insurance website

Have you got the vin number or just reg number?

Does bimmerwork actually work for anyone? I’ve tried it numerous times with my VIN and it just says that something is wrong.

Never had a problem, used it earlier today to check out the spec on the Phoenix yellow one being discussed
