Idle curiosity....this has been for sale for getting on a year and a half at least, £29k on 9k miles seems as low as the owner will go, I guess it's a victim of its own low miles, use it and the value will drop like a stone, store it but would it ever increase in value..? I doubt it personally. Im thinking it needs a well heeled enthusiast that is willing to take on the kind of drop a new car would take for the enjoyment of owning a mega low miler. Thoughts on what would get it sold...?

Buy it and drive it, value drops and you take the hit.
Buy it and hope it appreciates, take into account insurance and costs to store it (properly) and I highly doubt you will turn a profit after those outlays. Never know though.

If I was buying another I'd buy the lowest mileage car I could find, clearly it'll drop when you drive it but probably not a lot, compared a new Z4 anyway it'll cost bugger all.

Never again I'll buy a new BMW, last one cost me 20k depreciation in less than a year. Excellent value for money

If I was buying another I'd buy the lowest mileage car I could find, clearly it'll drop when you drive it but probably not a lot, compared a new Z4 anyway it'll cost bugger all.

I’d guess somewhere around lower to mid 20’s

If was looking for one I’d be tempted to take a punt on that knowing it would deprecate because in a “normal” world with no supply and chip issues I’d expect to lose as much, if not more, on my G29 in a couple of years than putting 40k on that.

50k milers are around £18-20k or above though Ole....that's if they sell of course which they don't seem to be at the mo. Pretty stagnant market right now, plenty for sale with high tickets but none seem to be shifting, even before winter kicked in.

It's worth whatever someone will pay for it - but obviously nobody has been prepared to pay what is being asked!

Knowing how long BMW straight 6s will last with proper upkeep I wouldn't pay a premium for an ultra-low mileage car if I was planning to use it - and if I wasn't going to use it why buy it anyway?

Plus I imagine with such low mileage it will have been sitting around unused for years so would probably need some fettling starting with new tyres!

A 40/50K car that had been driven a couple of thousand miles every year would be much more appealing to me, but that's just my thinking - others may well have different views.

I agree. A 50k miler has probably got a lifetime left in it at a much more palatable price. The ownership experience will be the same.

Still think £25k is a strong shout as its going to drop money in the short / medium term it even driven 3 or 4k per annum

Yes I have been keeping an eye on that and agree well over priced! If it was a coupe maybe £30k with those miles but certainly not a convertible!, hence why it’s still not sold.

Just buy it and treat it like any nearly new car. Put 8k a year on it and it will probably still bring you back 20k+ 10 years from now.

I paid 23k for mine 11years ago with 12k on it. Probably get 13-14k for it now with 80K on it. Same difference. The ///M is a drivers car either drive it, or buy another car. :wink:

The reality is non of us live forever so maybe buy something and enjoy it? Alternatively spend your life finding things that will possibly appreciate as long as you don’t use them then pop your clogs and let someone else reap the rewards.

Live your lives you don’t know what’s coming and stop been so money driven enjoy life as it will stop pretty sharp.

29k isn't expensive, the cheapest crapiest new z4 you can buy is 40k and it comes with a 4 pot out of a 1 series, no thanks...

It's not 2006 anymore, a bog standard golf is getting on for 25k... :?

You'd pay £29k for it if it was second hand and 2009 without blinking so I do think it's a rare chance to get a minter.

BTW I don't want it myself, I've got one, it was just idle curiosity what folk thought.
