What Inspection Service Next?

I hope someone can help me out here - my car is due a service soon and its had an oil service and Inspection 1 and oil service done to date (or as far as I can remember)... Is it due an Inspection 2 next time?

If so what costs am I looking at at BMW and what exactly is covered in an Inspection 2?

All depends in mileage, but oil and brake change at 2 year intervals at latest do it can go O/B insp1 O/B O/B insp2. Actually service as according to dash but oil and brake every 2 years regardless. Assuming of course that dash never reset incorrectly which often happens. Give me reg date and mileage and I'll tell you roughly where your at.

I assume it's a 2004 2.2i.
It would be good though to see the service history to dat by which one and mileage/date.
 
Sounds like you are due an Insp 2, I had one done last year for £339 at Crossflags BMW in Dumfries under the Value service program, bit stuck for Indys where am but looking at other threads it seemed a very competative price.
Make sure you get a written quote first as the price jumped by £100 when I went to pick the Zed up, pulled out the quote and the service manager started :headbang:
 
Just looked at my service book and here is the info:

Oil Service - 12,900 miles - 18/10/06
Inspection 1 - 28,994 miles - 31/10/08
Oil Service - 44,932 miles - 13/10/10

Car is currently on 61,500 and I have 1000 miles left on the Inspection indicator. So is it Inspection 2 time? Does anyone have a checklist of what should be carried out?

Looks like time for inspection 2. It's a very thorough service. Not sure exactly what gets done though

follow the link in my post above your's, checked it with the UK one and they are the same
 
Inspection 2 it is ! Get some qoutes from different dealers , i got a few qoutes 6 months ago & my local dealer matched the cheapest ! £315 for 3.0si . So it pays to shop around ! :)
 
I will have to shop around as I just rang BMW Croydon and they quoted me £559 including VAT and Labour for an Inspection 2 - I got it down to £461 but I will defo shop around and see what the best price will be... Is it cheeky ringing BMW in Scotland for instance as its cheaper up North... lol
 
I'd say shop around, this must be the offer I got my insp II under, it doesn't actually mention the Zed but we all know how many parts it shares with the E46 good luck with your search.
