Simple really, Curious to know what plans members have for their zed

My list is pretty damn long!

[*] Bought some Aero Skirts recently, (will be collecting them and fitting when I get back from this contract to UK.)
[*] New wheels, not yet decided but the list of potentials is getting bigger and bigger by the day including zito deepstars, BBS CH, BMW 6 series style 92's (with a lot of work for the silly offset ), BMW tigerclaws, 3SDM 0.06, Work Meister S1 3piece splits. Im sure by the time I get back the list will be even bigger!

[*] Angel eyes (yet to decide whether to go aftermarket or go the whole hog with OEM lenses and DIY work)
[*] Black grills
[*] Eibach or Bilstein kit
[*] Complete audio upgrade: Focal Flax PS 165 F3 3way component front end, 2x JL Audio 6w3v3s in rear cubbys, Alpine PDX v9 amplifier to run them. (Already have a pioneer head unit with Bluetooth/DAB/USB and steering control interface installed)
[*] Would LOVE a piano black individual steering wheel but by my research, they are pretty much one of the rarest parts on the z4, were only installed by BMW for a period of 7 months or so and even if you could get one from BMW (which you cant anymore) they would relieve you of around £1200 for one!
[*] Eventually (not neccesarily in the near future as I also have a bloody house extension to pay for...) a supercharger kit... although if and when funds allow for this one is debateable! :lol:

I get back in December/Jan and giving myself a couple of months to nail all items except the last two. I miss driving my z... currently pottering around in this thing in the middle of the desert!

I'm mid house extension as we speak so only minor things for me.

1. Just bought a complete sound gen kit.
2. Wrapped most trim in carbon vinyl but centre console still to do
3. Custom back box at some point
4. Roof motor going in the boot this month
5. Planning to swap out all grey interior components with black. (Some I'll just spray)

Not the most exciting list you'll agree, but I'm pretty much skint

Believe me I know what moneypits houses can be. I originally had planned around £70K for my extension but the latest change to it will probably make it top £100K

[*] Suspension update including Powerflex and BC Racing Coilovers (All bought and sat in garage....)
[*] Roll Hoop Spraying to Matt/Satin Black
[*] Exhaust Bypass (Pipes bought - just need to get them welded in!)
[*] Dan's RAM Scoop (I'm just being plain lazy now...)
[*] Some sort of custom DRL in place of the Fog lamps
[*] Full paint correction and protect

Think that's it for now. The car will do well to compete for time with my new wife and completion of home improvements in order to sell....

Just realised how useful this thread could be. I also planned for roll hoop colour change and a potential royal wheels retrim in the event I couldnt source the individual steering wheel but forgot! they should be on my list too!

Possible thing that stuffers the above:

Sell and replace with //M and a daily hack.


I actually think the current Z with the planned mods may be a more fun car than a //M as I'll not feel the need to nanny it as much.

Totally agreed. I was recently considering an e92 M3 or M6, aside from the running costs, I also had a similar feeling about //M cars as I would be too protective!
