What have you done to your E89 today

Pressed into service my Apex Arc-8 CSL look a likes while my 437Ms hopefully are refurbed ..two rears with small bends on the inside edges and one front with a small kerb mark..
Old tyres are not that badly worn but no point messing around when you’re at 550bhp 750nm
These are my Conti SC7s in 235/35 19 and 275/30 19..my 4 th set.
The 437Ms are going to be shod with 235/40 19 and 275/35 19..
Last time I use BMWs daft low profile tyre set up..
I like that. Do any of the MMI devices display the parking sensor image like that? Specifically, the green, yellow, and red escalations?
Yes they all should, both of my mmi boxes have. They display the coloured bars over the car pictogram, as opposed to within the video image.

Then with the emulator you get the coloured bars on both parts, pictogram and video (this shot from an E93, but same inage on ours)...

I did a centre console phone holder delete and very glad for the extra storage space. Keep my sunglasses in there now

The phone dock is clipped to the bottom of the centre console tray so you can remove it fairly easily, though its a bit fiddly. There’s some circuitry and wiring too which some can be removed and the rest can tuck away under the centre console.

My a-pillars are black, not sure why they wouldn’t make the mirror covers black.
Is silver the standard issue for grille and mirror on a white z4, or is it related to my hyper orange interior?
Generally E89s had body coloured mirrors with the exception of 35is where some had silver mirror caps..Luckily mine are matte silver and not chrome

There were at least 3 if not 4 different radiator grills offered over time with various body colours
Went with new car mats…seems to be very difficult to get decent quality matters ..no matter what you pay..
The latest set, although muted still don’t float my boat quality wise even at £90..
I’ve stuffed the old mats behind the seats as more sound deadening.

That yellow trim makes those mats pop. Were those the old mats?
My 437Ms all straightened and repainted..chap damaged the only good one getting the old tire off…so £225 for 3 straightened and 4 repainted …
The uprated profile 235/40 19 and 275/35 19 show a marked increase in rubber on the sidewall…you can see why the rim doctor says he hardly ever gets bent wheels with those profiles..

I've been, casually, looking for a set of Sports seats for my Z for a while now. But they have to be a specific spec. They need to be Coral Red Kansas Lrather, with heat and are electric memory. Surprisingly a rare find.
So the thing I've done is buy these..
Now the astute among you will notice that these are not electric memory.
Well to sort that issue, I've bought these as well...
Which are electric memory. So once they arrive I'll be swapping the leather over and installing them in mine. Then I'll give my standard electric memory, heated, seats a refurbished and put them on the market, along with the black ones which will be manual, no heat, and they'll have a good refurbishment as well.
Another step towards full spec
