What have you done to your E89 today

New CarPlay screen and iDrive controller fitted So far pretty impressed and even has digital dash.

Vibe amp in the glove box and new speakers on their way…

Do you not find it’s intrusive when driving?

I couldn’t get on with the bigger unit and sent it back..

Definitely glad I got the smaller one of the two, and tbh I’ve had a cheap freestanding screen perched on top of the dash for about a year so this is actually giving me much more of a view :rofl:

That said, I’m yet to actually drive with it yet so we shall see…

Ah ok..well each to their own//you may sit higher in the car..the 12” version blocked a big chunk of my vision over the bonnet….hence its return..

This is 10.25" apparently... guess those couple of inches may make the difference :rofl:

I do like the look of that screen… I’m not fitting one as have the flip-up unit installed from new, but if I didn’t…

And I do think even with less than 500 miles a year I need a cup holder. Looks so good!! Needed it today too; had to move ‘stuff’ from under the armrest to make room for a coffee flask, which was then horribly in the way

We all know about RealOEM at this point. I'm referring more to the more interesting aftermarket stuff people are doing to their cars but sharing nowt more than a few pics of it.

The screen I went for is here, https://shorturl.at/816Qv, the 6GB + 128GB with 'knob' option as I have no iDrive.

New battery fitted - the previous one was the original and when I took it to be load tested it was only registering 260A instead of the original 760A.

The replacement battery was exactly the same size so fitment was straightforward and I was suprised how clean the battery compartment was with zero signs of any water ingress - so just a quick hoover and registered using the Creator 310+. Job done :thumbsup:

New rear shocks and springs fitted… total amateur with anything mechanical, so reasonably proud of myself
