What have you done to your car today?

Wow, where did that come from, I want one.

I found a 3d print file for them, plug into the holes already in the bootlid. Umbrella is a genuine BMW motorsport one from Vertumotors on ebay.

If you fancied the brackets, I’m happy to print another out and send them to you

what about an E89- compliant version? I guess that would compromise the roof panel? Anyway, fab addition, love that, well done 👏

Finally made an opportunity to do some buffing on the Z. Didn’t finish, but did the trunk lid, top and some on the sides. 25th anniversary for our car club, so an opportunity to clean her up. Hope to have some aerial shots of club cars soon.

Didn’t know I would be driving her through a field! :o

You would be amazed at the the state of some of the fields you have to drive through over here compared with that . Car ls looking great

Replaced vanos seals

It’s like night and day for me. I can’t believe the difference. I always thought the car was on the slow side. It’s not now ! If yours seems a bit slow it might be the vanos seals. 😎 🚘

Years ago I replaced those seals on my e39. Didn't really see any difference back then. But I'm thinking of replacing those seals on my Z4 anyway. Where did you buy yours?

Usually that color looks dusty by the end of the day, even when it’s not a field. :driving: :o

X8R0164 plus X8R0199
That gives you all you need.
There are videos on the X8R site.
I found undoing both engine mounts and raising the engine worked well.
Expect four hours if all goes well , a bit longer if you run into problems.
And don’t forget to stick to the torque settings for every bolt.
