What have you done to your car today?

Finished retrimming the hardtop headlining. Pretty pleased with how it turned out. Gave up on the suede as it was a bitch to fit round the corners without creasing, so went with simple black headliner fabric in the end, with 3mm foam backing. Hopefully get the hardtop back together tomorrow and finally back on the car!

I used this Trim-Fix 3x 500ml High Temperature Adhesive Glue Spray for Van Lining https://amzn.eu/d/ciTt2Vf for the larger areas and Wayside HTA1000 with a brush for the edges and more fiddly bits

Hit a milestone mileage this morning.

I just liked the way it reads the same from either end, even if I didn't quite have the trip computer synchronised!

Bit of catch-up:
Last weekend I finished putting the rear suspension in place, connected brake lines and purged the brakes. I really like purging brakes with a serynge which saves me from bothering my wife with pumping the brakes. You can try pulling a vacuum though I feel most bubbles come from the bleed screw thread so I ended pumping the pedal which pushes the serynge piston out but not back in acting as a soft one way valve. Tested the pedal and it is really firm, hopefully the feel will be just as good with engine one and vacuum on the booster.
Got the prop shaft back in as well, was a bit of a mess figuring out which side to hook first and then the centre bearing.

And great step: Today I got the tyres mounted and the shop did not mess up. Happy with how the CH Reps look in 18" form, they are not too small

Fingers cross I can put heat shields (including fixing all corroded screws) and exhaust on this weekend between showers

How many showers do you have in a day? You must be almost as clean as your motor

Was past today by a sterling grey e85 on the m5 on the way to Wales, not in my zed. Had his roof up but then it was a bit drizzley :D

Went to my local BMW dealership and asked them if they could code the following:

Inner halos -> DRLs
Door locking above 5mph
Unlock on keyfob unlocks both doors
3 flash indicator

Was pleasantly surprised that they were able to do the coding (I have an intake manifold conversion from the 3.0i to 3.0si and unlocked the DME) and didn't charge me anything for it! The manager was also kind enough to let me go in their service garage and look at all the coding options with the mechanic :D

I'm surprised too!
Although with the right software it's about ten minutes work (Scanner 1.4 works for me), it is usually a simple little earner for ther dealership.
As mentioned by me previously, a lady local to me was charged £145 to clear transport mode! 2 minutes!
