Looks amazing true-blue please share your method and products used. Thank you.
Thank you, and of course…
Only two products, Bilt Hamber Surfex HD diluted circa 20% Surfex to 80% water in a spray trigger bottle.
Spray generously and work in with a firm brush, I use a detailing brush, but something like a firm paint brush would work just as well. Rinse with a sparing amount of water, just enough to remove all the product. I use a hose on low pressure with a gentle ‘rainfall’ setting- the sort where you can water young plants without squashing them 8) - just be careful around the electrical junction box etc.
It’s a case of doing a smallish area at a time, as you don’t want the Surfex to dry.
Once everything is clean, I rinse again but just enough to ensure everything is damp/wet. Then I break out Autoglym Vinyl and rubber care and spray it on all the plastics, including hoses.. while they are still wet. I then wait a few minutes before taking a clean microfibre and basically drying the bigger pieces such as the engine cover.
I’ll then apply the autoglym again, but more sparingly and spread it evenly and let it dry.
It’s really one of the easier detailing jobs
There used to be a kit years ago where you started the engine and left it running, sprayed the foaming cleaner everywhere, waited a couple of minutes before pressure washing off… and they sprayed the treatment product on the hot engine and left it to dry. I can’t remember who made it, but you could buy it in Halfords and it was impressively easy and produced fantastic results.
