How's the ride quality with the new struts, shocks and springs? A project that I will be performing at some point and thinking the sachs would be a good choice for an OEM ride.
Always easier the 2nd time round. :thumbsup:

Much improved, much less crashy… all shocks had no resistance.

I’ve done a few sets of these on E85’s now, first one just wasn’t playing ball.

This rear strut was compressed the night before and is still like this days later (excuse the mess garage needs sorting);

At 112K miles, I don't know that mine have ever been replaced. I don't think they are crashing, but they are pretty rough over a bumpy road.

Yep OEM, still want to keep the car as close to oe level comfort so no single mass flywheel for me. Gearbox was toast, had fluid leak. Replaced with used one.

Spending too much on the car but I want to get it sorted asap so I can start logging regular track time on it.

Cleaned the leather interior.
Wow what a difference.
You can get some dye to sort that bolster out. That will finish it off nicely

Cheers any idea where to get the dye from and is it easy enough to apply it ?

Furniture clinic. Choose the repair kit you fancy and then go to custom colour and look at their car colours chart. They have most BMW colours there.

Got mine from here

And done a full colour change.
So that bolster will be very easy to do. EB353ABE-DBD1-4997-B890-CDD44328496A.jpeg

Today, I ...
  • Installed a Bluemusic bluetooth adapater in the trunk (instead of 6 CD changer)
  • Swapped all interior bulbs with LED bulbs
  • Replaced original gear shift knob with shorter, weighted one
  • Swapped chrome grills with matt black ones

Steering wheel referb of sorts… more of a clean up whilst still on the car.

Before, Shiny leather and worn ‘soft-touch’ plastics;

Just finished wrapping the aluminium trim in 3M Black brushed metal.

The original trim was a bit bashed up (no idea how people manage to scratch and dent it so much!) so bought some replcaments that wer in better condition but decided I fancied a bit of a change. I'm not one for "modding" so wanted it to look as OEM as possible and I am very happy with the results. :thumbsup:
