Today I set about removing and relocating the roof motor from its watery grave into the dry of the boot. Started early doors before the sun got going but the removal took longer than expected.
Stripped everything down (pump & motor). Gave the motor a good half hour in a diesel bath and sat pump head in calliper cleaner. After lunch put everything back together, a quick test electronically, topped up the pump with jack oil. Freed off the release valve that was stuck in. And still the roof doesn’t lift of its own accord

when unlatched. Needs assistance for the 1st 6”. Flies shut once fully open. Any ideas anyone, please.
