What have you done to your car today?

Gave the girl her first proper pamper of the year.

Wash, rub down with clay mitt, light machine polish and a single coat of wax. Just got finished and her in the garage before it chucked it down, so no photos. No plans to drive anywhere over the next couple of days so hopefully will get a chance of a second coat of wax and do the interior before the weekend.

Thanks for the nice comments fellas :) ....and the Mrs had only been outside 5 bloody minutes getting the footage with my phone ! It's a bit over her head I suppose. Never mind
I'll keep you updated after I've road tested it

Finally took the CSL’s to our regular tyre place. Tonight: ceramic coating, Thursday: fitting 8)

Tease :poke:

Guilty as charged, but then half the fun is in the suspense isn’t it?

Ceramic coat done, fitting imminent 8)

That wheel is gorgeous... Just getting mine refurbed at the moment. Scouring ebay for a ceramic coating kit. Do you know what coating make they used on yours?

I own and run a detailing studio, so one of the perks is using leftovers from a car we’ve done this weekend for jobs like this  Word of advice on ceramic coating: unless you know ceramics, be very careful using the stuff. Not only is it fairly toxic (so wear a filtered mask), it can also be a pain to remove when applied incorrectly.

For ease of use, I’d recommend getting something like Ghost Wheel Sealant from Infinity Wax. Easy to apply, and when done correctly (use 2-3 coats) it will last you all summer long as well. Refresh twice a year and you’re sorted 8)

Sold it.

Never intended it to go this quickly, so profound apologies to Sidewaze Samm. However, I did honour my promise of giving him first refusal.
In one month I've fitted all new suspension, wipers, interior LEDs, degunged the washer bottle, removed, cleaned and recoloured the seats and there was something else...................
Oh yeah, got the EPS motor sorted by ECU Testing.
Say it quietly, but I also replaced the stubby with a slightly shorter than standard whippy.
Just got it all ready for a Spring of cruising and another forum member appeared on my doorstep!
Stuart (Acestumacher) lives in my town and 2 years ago I bought his 2.5i auto as a Valentine's present for my better half. Stuart was now hankering after another zed and the combination of black paintwork, red sports interior and the long list of works done was enough to have him reaching for his wallet.
I must admit I was in two minds as I was looking forward to enjoying it a bit longer, but the 3.0i has come back off loan early and I'm advised that is too many zeds on the drive.
Never moved a car on that quickly and am feeling a little guilty tbh.
I hope Stuart gets lots of fun out of it, though he may be banned from driving it past my house.

Sounds like it went to a good home [ref]enuff_zed[/ref] Personally can’t imagine moving on a car I’ve worked on that much so quickly, but then I can’t imagine owning multiple Zeds in the first place. Somehow management would not approve, me thinks…

Heresy! No wonder you want to say it quietly - not brave enough to post a picture of the new monstrosity eh? :poke:

Ah sorry, the monstrosity is in a box in the garage somewhere. Just in case someone ever wants a stubby.

Washers refused to wash yesterday so a little job for today.
Yuk!
Looks like the chap who recently 'left a deposit on an E86', has done the same in your washer bottle.

Cleaning that filter was the first job I did on mine though it was black slime in the filter and the washer bottle that were the problem.
