Finally found a better phone holder. Its tricky to find a nice place for a phone in z4. This one has ball mounts on both ends. Looks neat too.

It wasn't that bad actually - I removed the door handle completely, then it's holder so I could change the cable on the table. Did you try doing it inside the door?

Yep, did it in the door, was a pain. Didn't think to take it out

here's a very good fix for that, I found it only documented on german Z4 forums - you need the elastic mat (actually it's a few steel wires) from non-sport seats. Nobody knows why the sports seats came without them.

Google translate on foreign websites is fantastic isnt it! I saw a really good thread with lots of pictures using the part you mention. Without taking the seat completely apart it wasn't possible to add the elastic mat as the support is built into the foam of the Msport seat.
The pic below shows the holes where the mat would go. I'll dig out the links and post them on the original thread.

The only problem I found with these is it can deform the felt material of the cd slot. Other than that they are great.
