I get that fitting this brass bushing probably takes out a lot of the movement between the caliper and the carrier but it would then not be as designed. Maybe a tester would not bat an eyelid about it not being there, maybe they would if it was spotted, but what about legal implications if there is an accident? Not sure, so we'd have to refer to the MOT manual. Plenty of ppl do it.
