What have you done to your car today?

Thanks chaps.

Definitely does make the shift more weighty. I used to have a Storm Motorworks knob on my old 328i Saloon. Made a big difference to the change (bloody freezing in cold weather though!!)

Wife died last week aged 39. Sister is over here for support. She’s decorating the house to keep me distracted.

Bought 5 litres of paint today and on the way home I kicked the back end out a bit for fun......... Haven’t I suffered enough?

Awful news! You have my heartfelt sympathy. Lost my first wife at 45. Leaves a hole in your soul. Any kids?
I know that no two people react the same way, but if you need a rant & rage and someone to listen who may understand, then fire over a PM.
Thinking of you.

Thanks guys, and sorry for your loss enuf_zed. Didn't mean to hijack the thread, just thought it ironic that my current woes would be exacerbated by the old Zed. :D

Just realised that after I removed the emulsioned battery, I then closed the boot shut.

er.....

Can you open the bonnet and connect a battery to the terminals under there to open the boot?
(And my loss was 9 years ago. The pain fades but the memories remain)

Can you not unlock it using the key in the lock?

Apparently so! What a bloody relief. :D

Looks like I'll be cleaning the thing out today. I revealed a bit of dirt and grime behind some plastic so, if anything, the thing should be cleaner than ever.

Last night I dismantled the amp and washed the paint off the circuit board. I can either reflow all the solder, or experiment and see if it works as is....
