Crikey , must be an age thing against you these days Ian , as got my Z4C for £200 with A plan this year

Can't be age I don't think - I get free prescriptions these days I'll have you know! I was thinking it might be more a location issue as I'm on the Berks/Hants/Surrey borders, and sadly my car isn't garaged. But I didn't bother calling A-Plan as they couldn't get below £300 for my 2005 330i in April.

Did a full headlight restore.. went from yellow and unappealing to pretty shiny!! Was quite happy with the result..!! First time I've been brave enough to give it a go..!

Fitted original silver kidney grilles and replaced chrome surround with black today bought the grilles from stretch_blanco

Looks great! Did the same the other day too! Although they're currently completely off again as I discovered the housing for the grilles had been snapped and then glued after a bump by a previous owner . But very happy with how it looks as I've been thinking about changing them to this for a while.

I think this is a nice mod. I like the silver slats, but I think the black bezel looks nice.

It was a nice change for me, always liked the premium look of the Si grilles and was a little annoyed they weren't fitted when I bought the car, going on the price of them too could be the next side covers

They are Xenons so no angel option I believe.

The 10 day (evening) paint correction and polish project is complete. Working in the garage for an hour after a day in the home office has been very relaxing if hard work.

Approximatel order or play...
Wheel clean, Snowfoam, roof wash, wash, Tardis, Kerosol, clay, final snowfoam and rinse.
2 full passes with Menzerna cutting compound to shift the swirls.
Single pass Menzerna polish,
Quick flick over the Bilt Hamber clenser fluid, just cuz.
2 coats of R222 concourse look wax, 24 hrs appart.
Used deep pile Korean cloths for all buffing duties.

Not bad for an 03 plate with 80k on the clock.
(Hard to photo as the paint looks different depending on the angle and light)

....although, I’ll probably see 224’s on an Si and change my bloody mind again

Went for a really nice drive yesterday evening, roof down, Dark Side of the Moon up loud. I know there's a lot of hate for the Pro HiFi but it sounded pretty darn good to me.

Just before lockdown started, I was all set to buy some new wheel.
I might have spent £100+ on detailing stuff but its save me ovet a grand on new wheels. Can't bring myself to swap them anymore. The 107s look too super now. I waxed them with bilt hamber double speed.

Went for a spin and on my return home found one of my floating centre caps was missing, I’ve had quite a few BMWs over the years but never lost a standard centre cap, these were a genuine BMW part and I know it wasn’t stolen as I’ve checked my cctv and it was there when I pulled off my driveway.
