i've had so many people ask for the code i received with the matts ive decided to stick the code in the comments section of the video i posted a few pages back..... diamond matts should be sending me a commission. so far over 10 sets from customers and people on here.

Quite happy to provide you with my order number, and hopefully others would too, go back to them with info and see if you can blag the boot mat you want as your commission

Just checked the price of those mats for the misuss' motor and it comes in at Β£193 with the boot mat (with the discount code) :o

They're nice but no way am I paying that for something to put my muddy trainers on

Pretty happy with the result.πŸ˜€

Like the finish, what did you use on it? :?

Made good but slow progress (that's just me  ) with my Vanos rebuild. Got it all stripped down and cleaned. So tomorrow I just need to get the 24mm nuts off that hold the bearings/anti-rattle washers inside the pistons...fingers crossed ! Then a nice leisurely reassembly. The old Buna rubber seals were like hard plastic so can't have been doing much sealing at all ! :(
Out of interest I used the 'prying the front cross-member' method to allow removal of the Vanos unit, it then popped off really easily  20200508_154037.jpg20200508_154131.jpgScreenshot_20200508-203334_Video Player.jpg

Full wash today, followed by Poor Boys Black Hole and then a light wax, by hand, so knackered.

But then the wing mirror popped out! Luckily it didn’t fall. Any recommendations on the best glue to re-fit it with...?

Installed a new BMW brand air filter. And killed the mouse that had moved in while the car sat under shutdown. :headbang:

Mine fell as I closed my door which means I didn't have a chance to catch it and it shattered; I ordered these on eBay. Very subtle change but makes driving a lot nicer for some reason - it's ever so slightly dimmer so lights don't bother me as much and it looks cool, IMO.

Wheeled mine out of the garage and gave the interior a good spruce up. It was very dusty, so a thorough hoover, then clean and treat all the surfaces and it’s looking much better.

Since changing the expansion tank the coolant level warning light has been coming on and off a bit randomly. I had checked and double checked the level, bleeding the system with the front raised and it would take no more. The float inside the filler cap showed the correct level despite the dash light.

All of Β£7 spent on a new Febi coolant level sensor and two minutes to change it over today and the warning light is gone.

Just the dreaded airbag light to tackle next!

Just brought it home from storage and tinkered. Lovely to see it in the sunlight again.

Gorgeous lines still
