What have you done to your car today?

Been collecting a few bits & bobs to fit an additional boot light recently & got it done today :P
I used a plastic trim to attach the led strip onto, Velcro fastens it to the boot carpet

Makes a big difference over the small oem light

Tidied up & back to normal :P

Do you have a link for this? Im sure these were not available to buy separately from BMW and they seem to snap after a while.

I’ll second that mine’s been broken since I bought it last year and bugs me every time I fill up

there are lots of options tbh.. I took the old one off to check how it fixed to the cap/flap and these match - even if they don't state e85/86.

Thanks for the link. I'll order one for my E90 - the split one bugs me every time I put fuel in it!

Thanks for that. Ordered one From a different supplier but still from China :headbang:, a third of the price as one from the UK, just have up to 60 days to wait ☹️, hopefully we will be back on the road by then :driving:

Bought a DA polisher. First time using one of these. Watched a few vids to learn the basic techniques. It’s actually pretty easy. Used Turtle Wax hybrid ceramic on both my Z4 and my wife’s X1. I think they turned out well for a first go at this.

Thanks - I just ordered one - free postage, happy with that. One of those things that also bugs me every time I fill up the car.

Removed and cleaned exhaust tips and given her a decent wash and polish. Next job is to get cracking with the interior!

Removed the screen washer fluid tank and gave the filters and inside of the tank a proper clean.

Shines up well John, what do you use on it? :?
Rob

Just Autoglym Rob. I tried turtle Wax a few times, but Autoglym definitely has the edge on ease of use and both leave her gleaming. :D

Had you ran out by the time you got to the exhaust tips :poke: :P

I spent yesterday cleaning and waxing the car. Then I went on a short evening drive to clear the surface rust on the brake discs. (There's no lockdown in Sweden, so we're allowed to drive)

Gave her a coat of Fusso wax yesterday and then enlisted the help of number one son to follow me around buffing it off ! Can’t wait to drive her today to pick up a Tesco click and collect, will be going the long way round of course
