Spoiler is for my Coupe, made in thailand (I believe that is where the OEM stuff is made too) the weave is the same as the OEM bits I have.

Don’t know why but made me think of this...

Did a 130 mile round trip to Hertfordshire and got it dirty again. :(

Probably not the best day to be on the M25 and A1 (M), and I expect I used about £30 of petrol, but I picked up 4 litres of Castrol 10W60 for free from someone on anther forum who had sold his M3. :)

👍🏻 Great looking wheels, I like the colour

Fitted parking brake shoes.....they had obliterated into lots of tiny pieces, so there was nothing left!DSC_3731.JPG

Cleaned the wheel wells and wheels today. Not so bad as I do them regularly.

About to install these....
BMS fmic chargepipe_s.jpg
Lol - what a muppet. That chargepipe is clearly not going to fit. The BOV fittings are opposite each other on the E89, not side by side like on a 3 series N54. Why have I never read this before? :x . I try to research as much as possible but the BMS site doesn't specifically say E89 so that should have been an alarm - I looked at so many different brands/types that this one must have slipped past my radar. I think the VRSF one was the one to get. Oh well, looks like my son's 335i may benefit, and apparently the Z4 chargepipe is not known for cracking under pressure so maybe it wasn't needed anyway.
Now onto the FMIC....

Installed the Intercooler. Would NOT recommend BMS - the chargepipe fitting is shorter than OEM (by about 1") so despite what felt like a lifetime of effort, it's still not a perfect fit. Does seem to do the job of keeping temps down, and returning them to cool faster than stock.
Maybe I'm just naive, but when a product is advertised as direct swap/bolt on etc, I don't expect to nearly kill myself trying to fit the bloody thing.
Edit: To be fair to BMS, nowhere in their description does it say it will fit an E89 Z4, just lists all of the other E-series N54's. So it was my risk to try it. Shame I didn't have the correct aftermarket chargepipe as I could have fettled the silicone hose that comes with it to fit the intercooler better...
This is the best fit I could manage. You can see the indentation in the chargepipe where the other pipe sits if the chargepipe is where it should be.
NB - the gap between the IC and the chargepipe is only at the bottom - the top of the chargepipe sits flush (so the whole thing is connected to the IC on a slight angle).
I've taken it out and given it a few runs - nothing's fallen or blown off so far, so that's as close to a win as I'll get with this I think.

A couple of weeks ago I ordered a pair of gas struts for the boot lid after a conversation on here. The next day, despite saying the order was dispatched, the seller contacted me to say they were refunding me as they had none in stock. So I then ordered from a seller in Latvia. Almost 2 weeks later the order arrived via UPS ... except it was just the one! I mistakenly assumed I was ordering a pair - doh! Now order placed for the remaining one!!
