The tyres will be buggered if you go 1000 miles before a wheel alignment :lol: I know this from experience. Absolutely ruined the inside edges of my rear tyres after installing Eibachs.

So, 100 miles too few - 1000 too many, somewhere in between then?

100 miles is plenty. At lot of this 'running in' rubbish is internet drama.

Painted my callipers today glad to see that they are all bmw. I was sick of seeing rusty callipers through my 108 alloys much better now

It could be 'drama' but both the Eibachs on my Focus ST and also the Zed did drop over a few miles . I now cant get the jack under the Zed , which I could do when I first fitted the springs . Depends on how tyre wear currently is too. My rear camber didnt need adjusting. It was a huge amount of weird toe in that was the issue.

Scraped the front splitter on a kerb when parking because I forgot how long the car is at the front (and that it's quite low).

Today with the help of 1000rr we have replaced the membranes which had been ripped out by previous owner probably at a garage installed sound deadening and wow what a difference from bean can to solid bmw thud very happy 1000rr

Just had Hunter alignment done.

All ok but REAR left - the guy said he’s adjusted it to the maximum and said the cause may be worn RTAB bush.

Any thoughts?

Could easily be the problem, those bushes made the biggest difference after the front wishbone rear bushes when I replaced all of mine so I'd definitely recommend changing them either way

Cheers, that’s good to know that it’s a relatively simple fix. I was planning on changing all the key bushes anyway to Powerflex ones.

In the meantime I’m not sure I’ll notice any issues/problems with the toe being out? It drives fine.

Nice job, I like that against the dark body colour....I fancy a bit of that myself, where did you get the paint?

Relocated the soft top pump to the boot, Bowden cable pressure release valve was a pain being stuck in due to oxidisation.
Just got to make a cover to hide the pump.

Hi davz got it from euro parts £14.99 advertising on there site just over £23 . You get half inch brush brake cleaner and what ever colour you want. In the photo is only one coat may give them another coat.

Contemplated for a long while whether to upggrade to the european tail lights or to go for a facelift.
Took the plunge this weekend and went for the facelift.

I know the facelift has its doubters but im 100% satisfied with the DIY upgrade......especially at night .

I agree with [ref]G600[/ref]. I would go as far as to say that if the guy maxed out the available adjustment for tow and it is still (marginally) out the bush should be so worn it should be easy to spot visually and also you'd feel it by having to correct the steering while going on and off the throttle at anything over 50mph. If the bush is *that worn* you should feel torque steer during 'spiritted driving'.

Those facelift rear lights do look lovely if I had the spare cash I'd be very tempted.
Great to see you still have a red third brake light, in my opinion they look so much better than the clear.

8) 8) 8) the Facelift Rear end looks so much better than the pre Facelift. Looks wider and more modern.

Always regretted not doing it to mine as I had all the parts ready to fit. I'll just have to settle with the fancy clear pre Facelift rears instead :lol:

Totally agree.
I had the parts sitting for a while but had it in my head it would have been an expensive rewiring job...... had a deeper look on the forum and it was much easier than I thought, even with it at this stage.... haha


Still a big fan of the european clear indicators, good choice

New aerial base and stubby aerial tackled tonight.

Bought the stubby aerial the other week but the existing long aerial was seized into the base. Stripped out left hand side trim panels, removed aerial module and replaced aerial base, then finished off with my new, genuine BMW stubby aerial. Happy with result.
