What have you done to your car today?

(Yesterday) I fitted a home made,slim-line version of a mud guard. More like an aero lip to prevent dirt from sticking to the body work. No screws involved and easy to remove. I'll have to see how they perform long term. I'm quietly impressed :) 15619975708741344544511.jpg

The original BMW stubby from say a Mini or 1 series fits perfectly and better than any ebay Chinese copy.

Reception is also excellent!
I bought a genuine BMW stubby and the reception is not great :( . But that's the price you pay for looking cool 8)

Haha, just when I was going to say that I could not take credit for the idea. I copied it from somebody else who I couldn't remember , who came up with it. It turns out it was [ref]Z4C_er[/ref], who you need to thank. :P

I see nothing! :headbang:

Painted the shiny silver new wheel weights on my recently refurbed - but very badly balanced, hence the new weights - wheels in black to match the barrels. What a fucking ball ache...

Washed ready for a coat of wax tomorrow in preparation for the national! (Gave the big bus F15 a quick hose over too!) B140FB27-60D0-4C5B-BC7A-1B4870343D0B.jpegB034270D-6925-4B88-A2E3-C0C5D2AFDF7D.jpeg

And after

Excuse the dirt, you wouldn't think the car was washed on Sunday evening! Seems to be a lot of dust and ***** in the air! The light rain shower on Monday left a load of lovely dirt spots...

Took it into the 'Newhall BMW' indie in Sheffield .
A couple of faults showing up Vanos and something else........forgot! Never mind.
All booked in again after my holiday.
Great Indie garage for anyone in South Yorkshire.
Did my Water pump and ABS pump, very reasonable prices.

This looks very nice - did you curve the lid horizontal at the bottom end? (its hard to tell) If so is the adhesive strong enough to hold it in position do you think?

Any close ups would be appreciated - I feel like I need to be doing something similar on mine :)

Cheers

Hi thanks, yes I saw that thread but it’s not clear if the rubber stops or is stuck to the bottom of the bumper for about an inch. It looks like it does - I just wondered how robust that is.

Waxed and polished for the national

hi. Yes, in my case I thought I'd try, turn the 90° corner and continue under the bumper for about 1", see how it performs. Its very soft and flexible and comes with some seriously strong selfadhesive strip.

New number plates fitted . Flaked support bars removed, sanded, and sprayed (not put back in yet)

Awaiting new grills and badge
