What have you done to your car today?

Got my seats back yesterday, having had the leathers moved on to heated frames. Seat bolsters were toast & so had the foams all repaired too. Did a leather clean & Dream Red reviver treatment. I think they've come up great. They certainly feel & look much better imo
I've also fitted door speakers & sound deadening to both doors (many thanks to PerryGunn's post on here  ). Closing the doors sounds so much better & I'm convinced the car actually sounds nicer over all when running. Could just be my imagination though :P . Very pleased with the result & Mrs OG will be much happier having the option of heated seats.

If anyone is interested I have a few bits & pieces that may be of some use.
The original seat bases with all motors working.
Memory control module for the drivers side & electric controller for the passenger side + controller covers in grey.
Driver & passenger seat backs in good condition also in grey.
Both shoulder seatbelt supports though the plastic support underneath is broken on one.
Two sports headrests in what I think is Oregon Red.

Done a few miles then hoovered, washed and waxed. Found an led strip that I forgot I had, so i fitted some along the top of the inside of the boot. Didn't get a pic until now and what a difference they've made! Well happy with that :)

Two new rear tyres fitted. both wheels damaged during the fitting, so both off to be repaired and once again I'm Zed-less while I wait for their return (unless I refit the set of 17's that the car came with). Also, despite $4,000 worth of front suspension refurb, car still drives like something's not secure in the front end. So frustrated with it I looked into trading it on an Abarth 124 (none left at the dealer, no more coming in), then test drove the new Jimny (what a hoot, but a 6 month waiting list).

after having my friendly detailer do a safe wash and clean, he pointed out two very small parking dings that i have not noticed, so my local pdr man is coming to sort tomorrow.
one in the passenger door is tiny and can only be spotted at a certain angle in sunlight :o
the other is on the rear plastic bumper which i thought may be more difficult as its plastic, but the pdr wizard seems confident he can sort it.
again very small and no paint damage or creasing.
we shall see :|

I’ve seen a few videos where dents in plastic bumpers pop out after pouring hot water on them! :?

Ooft I’ll keep well away from that car park then :o

Had a bit of a lie-in then drove my Z4 over to my sister's, had a coffee and then she treated me to a Birthday lunch (at the Sportsman pub in Mogador - if anyone knows the area their food is great).

Dropped her home then tried to dash home before the rush hour (nearly worked) but 98 miles in a Z4 regardless of traffic has to be a Birthday prezzie you can give yourself!

Only downside was I didn't make it back in time to get my 1st free prescription from Boots - so I'll get that pleasure tomorrow!

well the pdr wizard came and worked his magic, and have to say was suitably impressed.
the plastic rear bumper ding is barely visible now, and would not be noticeable unless you knew were it was.
the one in the passenger door is gone along with a second one that he spotted on the same panel but did as well without additional cost.
happy with that, and i am fussy.

Drove it to my trusty local indy to have the front control arms replaced with Meyle HD arms. Picking it up in an hour or so - can't wait!

Love the mirror caps, but could you share a photo of how they look from the other side, e.g showing the mirror glass and the edges of the cap? Thanks.

This is mine, still a bit unsure about the "cut-out" underneath where the separate black piece is on the OE mirrors.

Thanks for that  they look great until that bottom part. Almost looks like a piece is missing
