What have you done to your car today?

In other news, my driver's side mirror glass dropped off whilst driving today and smashed to pieces. Got a replacement piece of glass on order...

Not the greatest fan of Z rear spoilers though that looks both a perfect colour & very subtle mod.

Yeah I normally agree with that too, but it seems to fit with the slightly ridiculous colour wrap well.

Yep. Quite a crude design but seems to work well as a "black accent" on yours. Stunning colour.

Finished my rear brake pipes and removed the vanos solinoids to see the type of seal It is an O ring and they have gone hard with age so need to find some

Luckily the falling glass didn't scratch the paintwork at all, as far as I could see!

Does anyone know if there is a way to blank off the washer hose to the headlights? I've got standard halogen lights and there is a leak in there somewhere. I was hoping I could easily blank off the pipe to the headlight washer jet and save myself needing to refill the reservoir every time I get in the car.

fit one way valves from halfords that should stop it.

If you do want to just block the hose in past I`ve used bolts, plast rodsthen a tie wrap

Bad pics but fitted a Maxton Design rear spoiler.

I really quite like this Maxton spoiler. Could you tell me if you think it would be possible to remove the small Maxton logo in the centre without damaging the high gloss finish of the spoiler itself ? :)

ordered some Ruskin leather cream as recommended by mrwilks, as am fed up with a lot of the cream/balms that seem to make the bolster shine :x

Good stuff that , been using some Auto Finesse stuff that i was bought as a gift but the Ruskins is better imo

It doesn't sit in a recess or anything so no problems from that point of view. I don't see why not, it's just one of them gel coated/resin type stickers. I've got the matching front lip and that hasn't seemed to scratch as of yet from driving etc so I reckon you'll be fine.

Thanks LeeMacca. Did you get it direct from Maxton ?

@ProfCJJ that's not good news. I bought the same grills from him! I've not fitted them yet. Let me know the feedback... :|

Take a look at the clips, you may have to get a sharp knife and make sure they are clean cut and don't have any bits of plastic left over from the moulding process. On mine two clips broke (I think) as they had this extra plastic and they would not enter the hole properly - unbeknown to me and I forced them! Waiting for the 2nd one to arrive now ... Plus overall the plastic looks inferior (thinner) and not as robust as the original ones I took off.

C.

Well true to their word the supplier sent another grill which I received yesterday. No cracked clips which is good. It fitted - sort of - one clip will just not engage and if I keep pushing it I’m going to crack a few more clips! You just have to be content with it the way it is - it’s in and I don’t think it’s going to fall off - it looks ok too (see below) - just it pees me off that the left side of the grille moves if you touch it - the BMW original ones just simply click in and out - but hey ho.

I don’t think it looks too bad in black gloss.

(I stuck my “private plate” on as well today. Double-sided foam tape, heated the plate and then put the pieces of gaffer tape holding it in place - I’ll take the gaffer tape off in a few days.

I guess I could find a bolt and silicone it in there ...

I managed to get my central locking working again when I followed a method of 're initializing the key on a random website saving myself £150 from the stealers :)
