to be honest, I didn't even realize she had caught my car at the time. I assumed I had narrowly avoided her after sharply applying my brakes. She drove off, so I wrongly assumed no contact had taken place.Unfortunately I was greeted with a scratched headlamp and dented front wing when I got to work and had a look.
One of my headlight brackets was loose after this, and snapped off whilst I was trying to bond it back together, so I'll need to purchase the repair kit from BMW. I'll also need to source an undented front wing. It doesn't look great at the moment

Got to try and get it all back together before work on Monday. This is the problem when you own a Z4 as a daily driver!!!

I started Zeddie the Z4MR after being off the road, garaged and hooked to a trickle charger for 5 months. It started first time. No hiccups or tell tale lights coming on the dash. Back on the road on Friday the 1st of March. Yippe!!

Got wife approval for some Zed time so, washed it, polished it, fitted the freshly refurbed 189s, then out for a top-down drive with my son.
Amazing weather for Feb. Clear blue skies and 15 degrees c. Perfect for Zed driving!

I can't believe there aren't more zeds with different colored roofs, especially seeing as the red fabric soft top seems such a popular choice for newer cabriolet these days (mostly mercs).After refitting the front end, I gave her a quick wash to remind me that despite the dents, scuffs and scratches, she's actually a half decent looking motor. Also performed well when I took it out for a quick run this evening. Love the sound of those six cylinders 8)

Too dark for a pic... Cleaned the green off the roof, washed it and took the new shocks for a spin. Can't take credit for fitting, but some new bushes and a set of the Stanced coilovers have transformed it. Not too low or crashy either. If it was a daily I might think otherwise but first impressions are good

Saturday - treated the car to a bottle of Halfords finest screen wash, filled up and noticed gurgling sound - it turns out that after the bumper was re-sprayed the washer pipe and fog lights weren't re-attached!!!
Sunday - removed bumper and re-attached washer pipes and foglight plugs, then while I had the bumper off fitted my Ram Air Scoop too...

That was in a garden centre, so no doubt some old biddy reversed into it, then drove off as if nothing happened.
I need to spend money on getting the bodywork sorted, but it's going to cost an absolute fortune. Think I'd rather run it into the ground and scrap the thing :lol:
Well, after failing its MOT on a cracked n/s rear rim (and badly spaced numberplate!) this last week I got a new rim fitted (£500+ - ouch!) I then thought it was time to go from Run Flats to Goodyear F1's - so that was another £500+, ouch! again! But boy has the ride changed - the suspension is still stiff of course but you no longer feel slammed into each and every bump on the road.
Now I guess its wise to get four wheel alignment done?

To be fair I told the company and they straight away said they will be sending me another one ... let's see.
Oh and I gave the car a thorough wash on Sunday - no photos as I was too busy with all the above. Its slowly settling down now though.

Take a look at the clips, you may have to get a sharp knife and make sure they are clean cut and don't have any bits of plastic left over from the moulding process. On mine two clips broke (I think) as they had this extra plastic and they would not enter the hole properly - unbeknown to me and I forced them! Waiting for the 2nd one to arrive now ... Plus overall the plastic looks inferior (thinner) and not as robust as the original ones I took off.
