What have you done to your car today?

Hi Schwin, I got them from a German seller here - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Radiator-Grille-Air-Intakes-Set-for-BMW-Z4-02-09-E85-E86-Black-Shiny-Gloss/372464743859?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

I've not fitted them yet, so can't vouch for its 'snugness' yet....

Mounted the MD-splitter that i bought from a member on this forum.

Up the car up on stands removed all 4 wheels and dropped them off at the powder coaters for a refurbishment car is black so went for dark chrome black. cost around £170 inc tyres off and back on.

Replaced the rear passenger side brake pipe and started the drivers side but gave up as there is not a lot of room and now can't move the car over to one side.

Sealed the boot within an inch of its life with silicone to try and stop it filing up with water and frying my elctrics :headbang:

Put the front wheel spacers back on after realizing it wasn't these that was causing my twitchy steering at motorway speeds. More investigating required.

On a side note, it's quite pathetic how far the standard wheels sit inside the arches when you don't have spacers fitted.

Thats cheap for a tyres off and on refurb  not based anywhere near the south east by any chance? Mine need doing again, but I don't fancy paying over £300 for another refurb.

After years of putting up with juddering flatblade wipers of all different brands (bosch, valeo, Michelin), I finally made the decision to buy the old type wipers from bosch.

No more juddering!!! I can now drive in the rain in peace and quiet.

Well worth the 11 quid from eurocarparts. They were £9 from carparts4less, but I wanted them today and not a few days time

Totally agree on the difference they make visually. I took mine off all all round last year when I was trying to eliminate the tramlining I had which was eventually cured with new tyres. Thinking of putting them back on now only issue I guess could be the effect on scrub radius. Did you notice any difference with them back on Ben? Heavier steering etc.

Not that I'm aware of. I drove it at motorway speeds last night for about 20 miles and it seemed to be less twitchy than it was without the front spacers.

I don't intend on tracking my Z4, so they probably won't make a great difference, except for the fact the alloys actually fill the arches nicely now

This forum is one of the best for its moderation - the respect shown by its members, we are a true credit looking at other forums - the easily accessible information, 'How To' guides and valuable information, the tasteful jokes, mostly  Thank you and spot the difference (erm i need to de-clutter my garage but I took the photo because I know most of us hoard rubbish and you will understand hopefully  - skip on the way!) ...

Grabbed the opportunity for a top-down drive in the sunshine this afternoon, to blow the cobwebs away. The car has not moved in a good few weeks, so it felt good to get it out of the garage and go for a blast. :driving:

I was definitely taking my chances with the weather though, as there were some very sharp showers around. Somehow though I managed to avoid them all and on realively dry roads. :D

A slightly dirtier Zed now tucked back up in the garage with the solar Optimate attached, until the next opportunity.
