What have you done to your car today?

They look great, but I'm sure I read somewhere that they are very heavy!

Lowered it

Looks absolutely mint, unfortunately as much as I'd love to I have far too may speed bumps where I live to do it. I lowered my MGF and it was a nightmare.

I was thinking the same before I done it as I have a large speed bump coming into my estate. There’s also one of those horrendous black and yellow ones at the supermarket and the square orange ones elsewhere, but I’ve had no issues at all. When I had my 103’s on with standard suspension, the front splash guards hit off the bump in my street. They don’t now 🤔

Put the hardtop back on, full DA with Poorboys SSR2.5, Blackhole glaze and sealed with Soft99 Fusso Coat Dark. Ready for the autumn and winter

Glad to see you managed ok
It grew on me after a while, car felt warmer inside but wasn't what I wanted. I went through the wood phase when I was young(Mk2 2.8 Granada Ghia with a wood dash and I even bought a Personal wooden wheel to go in it!)
Suits a coloured car more than a silver one.

Barrie

Hi Barrie, you are probably right about the colour, silver suits a 'mono chrome' colour scheme. Have done the same on all our cars, guess it's become tradition now, leather seats and wood trim! Hell of a job in the Porsche though, settled on nearly all leather there is no where to put wood
Probably should come with a health warning though, do not attempt if over 35 years old. Off to see the osteopath tomorrow

If you like it OP that's all that matters!

I'm not a big fan of wood in a Z4, but I prefer wood to the standard brushed aluminium - that just looks a bit basic to me!

I got lucky with mine as it has the Cirrus Aluminium, although in an ideal world I would have liked piano black.
