What have you done to your car today?

First day back off holiday. Worked lunch 11 hours after clocking in I walked to the car park to discover I had a puncture? :headbang:

Happily it was my daily shed. :) Tommorrow is another day.

Wrapped my first IP trim parts. I'm going to replace all the ally trim bits (due to scratching etc.) and wanted a similar look, but just a bit darker. Chose 3M BR230 brushed titanium.
Very happy with the results, and relieved to find that wrapping wasn't the nightmare I was scared of!

Looks great. You ever think about getting the trim sprayed the same colour as your car? Think that would look sweet

Thanks! Yes, I thought about spraying them in a complimentary colour - not phoenix yellow - but like if you mixed the tiniest amount of PY in with silver, just to give a hint of PY.

Personally, I think straight PY would be a little too much. Maybe in a more modern car perhaps?

Washed them! (this was Sunday though)

Snow foam
2-bucket wash with mild cleaner
Very light machine polish
Sealed with Soft99 Fusso
Alloys cleaned with Meguiars cleaner and treated to Soft99
Finished with Natty paste wax and then Black Hole show glaze, over the soft99.

Finally got the cheap nasty aftermarket wipers off and replaced with OEM bosch jobbies - the proper set with the curled passenger-side blade. So nice to have wipers that actually fit the screen and do a proper job of shifting water.

Sorted out the broken storage compartment switch and upgraded the boot, licence plate and interior lights to LED minus the glovebox as there is no natural place for one in my Z.

Cleaned and waterproofed the hood using a combination of Milton sterilising fluid, Oxi-clean and Fairy liquid to clean and Fabsil Gold tent sealer to proof (one coat) brushed in.
Beads nice!

Finally got the sizing right on my cup holder front plates. Have to decide on finishing, sanding paint etc.

Interesting... you've been busy! What made you decide to make your own covers over the genuine ones?

Also love the vape pen idea. If only you'd made one for the brick I use to vape on !!

The vape pen holder was because I was fed up of holding it while driving.

Re the cupholders, at some point you just have to close your wallet and say no thanks 🤔😁.
