What have you done to your car today?

Much better! Having big hands, even my Royals extra padded wheel felt a bit thin, so figured the Sport wheel was the only logical upgrade and I'm glad I did!

+1. Went the same standard/royals/m sport route myself and glad I did. I blame marlon, until he posted when he did it I thought the double padded royals was the same thickness as the M Sport.

Just a good Air-Con service

Removed and resprayed kidney grills Matt black as they looked untidy after having her machine polished on Saturday 😀

Washed, clayed, waxed and went over it with finishing wax. It was better than the gym and I even managed to get the car in the garage before it rained!

Painting brake calipers, carbon metallic grey, nice and subtle. Seemed rude not to give the arches some love whilst I was in there  ... disks are only rusty as it was washed and parked up last weekend whilst we were away, and M disks seem to do this for some reason.

Bought a sh*tbucket Golf. Put 900 miles on it this weekend and spilled crisps down the sides of the seats. No miles or crisps on the ///M.

:)

20mm and 15mm spacers fitted to original mv2 square set up. What a difference in the stance and overall look. Well happy with them.

Replaced the front bumper cover (almost complete). 2008 Z4M Roadster. Interesting (at least to me) process notes:
1. After agonizing over the purpose, cost and installation procedure for the two FILLING INSERTS LEFT & RIGHT (51718044699 & 51718044700), it turns out that the bumper cover was supplied with these parts already attached.
2. The old bumper cover was removed without damaging the Supports, side panel front left and right, by carefully prying the bumper cover horizontal edge down with a plastic thingy, while pulling it away from the supports. Total fun.
3. Installing the new bumper to the supports went well by simply pushing the horizontal edge of the cover toward the supports until it snapped into place. Total fun.
4. I also replaced the Cover, bottom right and bottom left (51718046084 & 51718046083) and found that, although tedious, the installation was much less of a nightmare than I had anticipated.
5. I'm now deciding which fasteners to use to attach the wheel well liners to the bumper cover. The original bits are the 51717007296, but I've seen some mention that the 07147172274 bits provide a tighter and more secure connection. I'd usually opt for the originals, but I'm tempted by the siren song of "better".
6. I've also added some aluminum "skid plates" under the fangs to protect the paint and (hopefully) the fangs themselves. I've read both good and bad reviews of this addition, but I'm hoping that some overly cautious driving, on my part, will confirm the good reviews.
7. Cheers.

Gave the car a wash in prep for my first attempt at vinyl wrapping an entire car

Nardo/Cement/Elephant grey - I'm aware I'm wrapping my grey car, in grey. But it's actually a pretty dramatic change especially in different light.

I shall name the Zed, "Sharkboy" after it's transformation... or "Zharkboy"... ok I'll show myself out.

Also have "cotton" style halos to go in while all the bumpers are off and I can open up the back of the headlights. Had clear lenses originally but really didn't like seeing LED board's yellow phosphorus gel. Sorted all the wiring a while back with a fuse tap to ignition so I'm pretty excited to finally have some time off work to get all this done :P . Going for single halo look for.

Found this while disassembling the car.

Yikes! Hope the mum isn't lurking somewhere (it's probably a tiddler, but I'm imagining it's some massive venomous beast!).

Assuming you survive, I'm looking forward to seeing how the wrap turns out

:driving: Old daddy Z3 MOTd passed, advisory on brake line, and only 985 miles in a year. He's growing into his mileage well.

Well not my car, but my lads 3.0i E85 fitted a new stereo head and matching vents, courtesy of Simon, works a treat
