What have you done to your car today?

OE front bumper arrived (yesterday) all the way from Edinburgh in a huge cardboard box. Giving it a bit of a clean and strip of removable parts today ready to go off for a freshen up at the paint shop.

I prefer the standard bumper and this is actually the original one from my car, which a previous owner still had tucked away. This will be replacing the aero bumper which is currently on the car.

MOT fail today. 2 new front arm ballpoints, 2 rear bushes, and a snapped rear droplink. £306 all fitted and passed through MOT from an old school friend.

Pretty decent price I thought!

2 new arms as well

Cleaned it inside and out.

After doing the backbox delete on my previous 2.5si I polished the box and stored it away. I then had Tints n Tweaks modify it and install it onto my 3.0si. It’s a good balance between standard and full on delete so I’m happy 👍

Yeah, I miss my 2.5 car garage back home !! Now I have a shoe box to park into :(

Just changed all the fluids - oil, coolent, brake, tranny etc.....added new fresh tires- and took her out for test drive, sustained 225 kph, will go for the limiter next if traffic permits.

My first modification!!!

I have pulled one foam insert out of the sound generator, however I had great difficulty in getting it back onto the bulkhead and not sure I've got it properly connected even now... Any tips for this? In the video I watched, the dude just seemed to pop it back in easily... Maybe I'm just a clutz....

There's not much to it, move it around to locate and just push it until it clicks back

Worse than that, the drone at 5000-6000rpm really resonates around the coupé cockpit... I think it's going to have to go back in... More pipe fumbling....

Oh no, sorry to hear that mate (no pun intended  :D )...

Could you cut the piece of foam you removed in half and just put half of it back? That might stop the drone but still give you a little bit more induction noise in the cabin.

Had this e89 in today. Sorry e89 owners still not feeling it!!
Evolution though I agree, BUT so plastic and seems fragile compared to the old girl parked in front.
Please don't be offended btw.

Collected mine today, new springs and yellow Koni adjustables all around plus a bit of paint on hubs and callipers. Set Koni's at softest setting for a start, first impressions much more of a subtle ride, still precise and no wallow. need to drive it for 200 miles or so to let everything settle down and then a new alignment done although to be fair I don't think its far out as it is. I was bound to be better than the old originals as the front and rear offside shocks had gone. Only 41k on this car so I guess sitting around not being driven before I got it may have helped that, or potholes.

Here is how she looks at the moment.

Before the grammar police get here, the last post should have read the cars original shocks were u/s, not mine although, come to think of it that description could indeed be accurate. :D

Began wrapping the dash in carbon. I’m finding the vinyl doesn’t want to stick to the aluminium though! Any tips from others who’ve done this before?

I think it will look good when finished!

Gave the roadster a lovely soapy hand wash this morning before work. Had a guy eating to buy it...its not up for sale....and would not bite at my offer. At the same time discovered MOT is up tomorrow. Heyho these years go quick!!

Fitted new rear top mount and wind deflector today.

Tomorrow job is rear training arm bushes, cruise control and my new M3 strut brace.
