What have you done to your car today?

Got it back from the paintshop today after having the front bumper resprayed.

Looks great. Do you mind me asking how much you paid? I have a bumper to get resprayed and I have no clue as to how much I might be expected to pay. It’ll be loose/off the car and stripped of grills etc. Like yours it’ll be a same colour spray, rather than a colour change.

Thanks. It was an insurance job. The nsf corner was badly scuffed up by two Nuns (True !) in a car park whilst my wife was visiting me in hospital back in mid June. They admitted liability so their insurance paid out. The estimate supplied to Allianz was for £1340.00 !! :o Anyway, it was a bumper off full respray. Not a stone-chip in site now and looks awesome.

I payed just over 300, but I didn’t even take it off of the car for them. I think there was a fair amount of prep needed on mine as paint was peeling from a previous repair. I also had the 7 rivet holes filled and painted so I don’t have the number plate plinth.

Some garages quoted crazy money, so don’t be suprised if you have to shop around

not the Z4 but my e92 fitted new wheels: Veeman VFS23
I considered those wheels for my E86. Look really nice on your car. The E92 was the best looking BMW on the road for a long time.

Just drove the Zed to move boxes and tools over to our first house which we have just bought!

Garage and a workshop at the back for the zed of course. Yet to check if she will fit,
Although not sure I can afford the Zed and the renovation! :-|

Started to refurb my steering wheel controls :)

Treated the coupe to a new air filter. Not due but it's been so dry the old one was well dirty. Won't hurt even though service not due for another 7k or 7 month. Probably be the later.11 years living in Spain made me realise sometimes air filters need doing twice a year!

Oil change for mine. Halfords hate me now after my price match victory! The Z4 and my Audi can use the same oil, so I needed three 4 litre bottles. Halfords were £51 each, so £153 for three. I found an offer online (Opie Oils) that came out at £69 including free delivery. Can't turn your nose up at an £84 saving and the convenience of picking it all up from 10 miles away! 8)

I've used the Halfords price match a few times now. It has made Halfords a viable option again!

Road construction in front of the house has made it impossible to get the z4 out so It seemed like a good time for a garage renovation. Nice little home for it.

Pretty decent price I thought!
