What have you done to your car today?

Spacers fitted
13mm at the front, 16mm at the back. Very happy with the look.

Removed the questionable aluminium sticker from my interior and it left behind the sort of mess I thought it might! Matte Charcoal Metallic vinyl on order to have it looking good as new again.

Also found that applying a small amount of compression to the cigar lighter housing (using a jubilee clip) prevents the housing from pulling out whenever I remove the lighter. Not sure yet if there's space in the car but will find out once I've wrapped the lid:

Finally solved the knocking on the wretched thing. Bottom control arms were rekd. Both pigs to change but today was the 1st time I've driven it without getting angry with it. What a difference. Just need to solve the crackling exhaust now. Has a massive overrun on it.

WP_20180603_16_26_24_Pro.jpg Had had an annoying tinking sound looked under the Coupe today and found a stone lodged between the pipes on the back of the exhaust. God knows how I got there, but it's gone now.

Swapped out the (wrong) rear sachs springs I fitted not too long ago and replaced with suplex 06231's.

Then went from these ….MV2's.jpg

too these… 224's.jpg

I haven’t done anything to it, except driven to Bristol and back and cooked in the sun. Alan (Number5) has been busy working his magic though and has relocated my roof motor to the safety of the boot. Great job Alan, thanks!

Thankfully the motor, which was replaced by a previous owner a few years ago, came out looking like new, so that was nice. :)

Obligatory car wash on a hot sunny day, that's about it for car stuff this weekend. Too many other jobs needing to be done

Stripped my rear brakes down. Cleaned and fettled the handbrake shoes, springs and linkages etc. They now work as Fritz intended and don't squeak at all when released  Rewarded myself with a BBQ and a few beers :D

Can't beat a set of 224's, but then I am biased...

Vinyl wrapped my ashtray lid with 3M Matte Charcoal Metallic and couldn't be happier with the colour and texture match:

Wow that looks great  . It looks like a perfect match to the original surround colour. How easy is it to apply?
