Engine bay and wheel arches got a proper good seeing too with degreaser and then dressing.
The roof got treated with raggtopp.
The body got chemical guys clean slate shampoo, a polish with G techniq P1 compound with a white hex pad (by hand), then a quick layer of detail spray.
Next weekend the refurbed wheels arrive and I can clay polish and wax and sort the inside.
A few pics.

Nice work!
What did you use to dress the engine bay and wheel arches? I need some for both my cars and the product I've tried before ends up leaving streaky marks (autoglym engine cleaner).
I used chemical guys gear head degreaser, seems a lot better at removing grime from the metal parts than AG.ben g said:Nice work!

What day shall I bring my dinner to eat off your engine bay? That sir is amazing. We'll done.Silverzedtom said:Started my summer prep today - a little late to the party I know...

8) 8) 8) now I get it![]()
It made me think I live in the wrong part of the world. i travel that route most nights Wolverhampton to wirral empty roads 3am but in my van it’s great have taken the zed that way plenty of times no camerasMr Tidy said:I was heading up to Cheshire for a long weekend last Thursday afternoon, and before I got to the M40/M42 junction the gantries were telling me the M6 was closed from J18 to J19 - and I was heading for J20.![]()
Got onto the M42 then the M5 and was ready to stop at Frankley Services - must be one of the best views from motorway services!
Anyway I got a map out and decided to try M54 to J4 then A41 to Whictchurch and A49 up towards Northwich. A great route but by the time I got off the M54 it was after 4 pm so getting busy, but it probably still worked better than starting queueing on the M6 from J16 - if not before!
Anyway tonight I left Cheshire around 7 pm and decided to come home using the same route, and I'm so glad I did!
The A49 and A41 were great - very quiet, some twists and some straights with good sightlines. So I was able to drive my Z4 the way it was meant to be driven! It made me think I live in the wrong part of the world.
But I didn't have so much fun once I joined the M54 or on the M6, M5 or M42 but the M40 usually flows well (so to speak) and then there was the A404 from the M40 down to the M4.
Now I just need to clean all the splattered bugs off the car.
It's been a long time since I did the journey door to door in under 3 and a half hours!
