What have you done to your car today?

Booked in to Classic custom exhausts in Hastings today. Got a bit of a wait as it's 7th of July :| . I needed to take a day off for it and already have a lot of time booked off before then.

The plan: Lob off the back box and see what it sounds like with a muffler delete. I have a feeling it won't be the sound I'm after so will end up with a small 'sports or race muffler' to use their terminology. Im also going to have a chat to them about the pros / cons of making the tailpipes a tiny bit bigger. Some of the cars on their website are gorgeous.

I use Lee too. Did you max out the front camber?

Being a new Z4 owner, I am still learning all about this so not sure - ended up with -50 minutes on each?!

(though not so much of a Z4 owner presently (check my 'look what my son did to my car' thread under E85s for sale).
Brutal!

That's just under a degree so probably not adjusted from factory. If you get another I'd recommend taking the pins out and going for maximum front camber as it notably improves front end grip in the corners.

I saw your post after seeing your comment... (link here)
Very sorry to see, hopefully everything works out with the car and your family!

Looks great, also looks a bit lower than my eibach's. What springs did you put in?

Cheers.

They're FK Automotive springs, I ordered them straight from their german website for a grand total of £37 delivered!!

They no doubt ride a little harsher than Eibach springs though :D

Realised i had a broken rear coil whilst fitting them too!

how does it ride mate , looks great are they 30mm ?

In all honesty the ride is not too bad considering how cheap the springs are.

Cruising round on most roads you can't tell much difference, pot holes shake you about a bit more and you can definitely feel a speed bump now if you hit it at 30mph...but all in all I'm pretty impressed with them.

The website states 30/40mm and they're definitely knocking towards the 40mm mark, possibly a touch more, here's a link to the ones i purchased if anyone is tempted:

And here's another pic i snapped tonight :-P

Between the sunshine and hail managed to give the car a clean. Will need a proper detail at some point and dent and paint repair

Fitted a powerflow back box and fitted a set of eibach prosprings. Big thanks to Darren (dpbayly1) for giving up his time to fit the backbox and springs at his garage.  The springs have transformed the ride, no more crashyness and thats even with the runflats on.

Washed and polished exterior and treated leather seats, interior clean, hoping to get off in the morning and Sunday for a top down outing.

Was never happy with the alignment I had managed to get after someone hit my car and drove off. Took it all apart again and did some fabrication and now sits pretty much perfect! Well pleased!
