What have you done to your car today?

I've researched in depth regarding alignment and by all accounts running at Zed M spec i.e. 1.5 camber on the rear is better... 2.5 is overkill

Interesting.. Any links? Can easily get it changed..

Finally got my Grom USB system to work. I found an Ipod docking cable hidden behind the dash.....only took 4 hours to sort out....many thanks to the previous owner who hid it rather than removing it.

Changing front bushes to poly. Changing oil filter housing gasket and a new aluminium under tray.

I ran 2.5 and I liked the handling but it wrecked the tyres in double-quick time!

Just a quick clean and polish today ahead of a drive tomorrow!
Very smart car ! Do you want to pop round and do mine ?

Thanks! I would love to, shame you are not closer to Reading......... :tumbleweed:

:D

It's ok. Problem solved - I quit my job, went home, enjoyed the sun and washed the Z4C. Then felt bad about wiping out the family income so washed the wife's car as well.

Yep, I just got my alignment and camber re-done in Bristol with a guy called Lee, after seeing a few recommendations for him on here. He has just been doing alignment/camber for some 15 odd years now and nothing else, he recommended I set rear at 1.5. Had it done on Thursday and has been a lovely drive since on back and main roads. Less twitchy (though maybe that was the alignment), still good on the corners, but more stable on the straight, with the expectation that the tyres are going to last just that bit longer. A win all day long in my book (though I probably don't push it as hard as many of you, so don't need it)

What numbers did you end up with??

Productive day today.

Managed to get replacement wing on, headlight brackets fitted, skirt back on. Headlight wiring figured out, headlights fitted and working pukka

Tomorrow the bumper will go on, then all finished. Not bad for a total novice at this kind of stuff.

Washed and waxed Zed, washed and treated the roof too as well as the daily comute Astra estate 2.0 diesel too, that's not a convertible though  would look interesting though and am sure the dog would love it.
