What have you done to your car today?

Well today i gave my new car a wash and wax, hoover. Cleared the roof drains and then decided those duck like bungs were stupid, so removed them. Checked tyre pressures and fitted mudflaps front and rear......ready for summer.

Mind sharing where you got those mudflaps from? Are they oem?

Oh ok that explains it... can't find them anymore.

Had the wiper motor degreased,
Yes it is an easy duy but not when the bolt that holds the motor on is spinning :headbang:
So step in Mr Andy Fanshawe and all is good,my wipers now sit where they should and not randomly where they felt like it

Spent the weekend fully detailing the Zed. 20% Auto Glym sale didn't really help this month's budget!
2 days of work, around £100 of Auto Glym and a pair of knackered legs later...

1)Foam + Rinse
2)Alloy wheel deep clean with AutoGlym Clean Wheels + brush
3)Two Bucket wash with micro fiber mitt and AutoGlym shampoo + dried with micro fiber towel
4)Soft Top wash with BMW soft top cleaner + hard bristle brush
5)Soft top treated with BMW impregnating agent applied with a water spray bottle
6)Clay bar the whole bodywork with AutoGlym clay bar set
7)Hand polish with Super Resin Polish
8)Wax with AG High Definition Wax
9)Interior vacuum cleaned
10)Leather seats and steering wheel cleaned with Auto Glym Leather Cleaner (Amazing product! leather completely matte again)
11)Interior fabrics cleaned with Interior Shampoo
12)Interior plastics treated with Vinyl and Rubber Care
13)All windows cleaned in and out with fast Glass
14)Engine bay cleaned with Engine & Machine Cleaner then treated with Vinyl and Rubber Care (after covering alternator)
15) Exhaust tips cleaned with polish and sponge

I started the process with the thought of prepping the car for sale photos. After two days of agonising bonding, I can't bring myself to sell this beauty  . Will take proper photos next weekend and then take it up to Wales  .

Well on my way into work the windscreen washers stopped spraying. I had a full washer bottle so must be the filter. Off came the pump out came the filter for a quick clean and all back together in a few mins. Little jobs like this are still quite satisfying.

Not the Zed but Mrs Ks 335 got a stone hit on the centre of the screen on our way to France - a new screen when I'm home - it won't be cheap, it's got the HUD panel. :(

Just taken the Zed down for an Oil change and MoT. All locked up safe at the garage now, ahead of tonight's storm. Get her back tomorrow.

No need for crossed fingers she's a Z4///M they love MoT's :o

(Ok maybe a bit crossed)

Looks nice! Do you have some more pictures? Do the seats touch the door panels when doors are closed in the very rear down position? How much space is in the middle? Do they have memory? What is the weight of the new ones?
