- smoke test performed (searching for what is causing a loud squeeky/screamy noise at certain RPM - sadly unsuccessful)
- both front parking bulbs replaced (one was burned)
- engine bay washed
If anyone happens to know anything about that squeeky/screamy noise, please do share information!
The noise happens only when the engine is totally warmed up, only when accelerating or keeping steady speed, but only when the road is at least slightly uphill. So the engine must be under load.
It doesn't matter how much I press the throttle pedal, it will always squeek when the engine is under load.
It only happens at ~1900 RPM.
The noise isn't a steady tone but has its "melody". It is very loud and embarassing. It kinda resembles the noise that a bad belt can produce.
That "melody" can be played quickly or slooooowly, depending on how fast I drive over that specific RPM, but it's always pretty much the same (the melody).

Here's my '04 3.0i 6-speed
Installed BC Racing BR Series suspension last year, handles excellent
Wheels are Aodhan Ah11 18x8.5 square with Goodyear Eagle Sport AS 245/40R18

Finally fitted the new handbrake mechanism so the lever isn’t vertical anymore.
Not technically today, but fitted a gruppeM airbox to the Z and it sounds luuuuuuuvly.
Also, could be a potential future to-do... The wipers sometimes don't stop exactly where they should at the end of each swipe. They kind of flick back up again from the resting point before the next swipe. Sometimes just an inch, sometimes about 3 inches above which looks bad. It annoys me at the corner of my eye when driving so I tend to manually 'reset' them to the correct position by manually turning the wiper on and off exactly when the wipers back exactly where it should be. I may have had this but much worse in my first 2.0 Z4. I remember having to clean the a wiper mechanism that had gunk build up in it. Very simple job. Could that be it?
