What have you done to your car today?

Sold my SI Coupe to Robbo82.
Great guy and hope he enjoys the car.
He certainly departed a happy man!
Thanks to everybody on this forum, for putting-up with me and hope I have made a contribution.
Will miss my Z and it was hard to part company with her....

Sad day indeed. :(

I just hope you don't miss your Coupe as much as I missed my 1st one! It's why I collected my 2nd Coupe 2 days later!

But good news for Robbo82!

Do you get less understeer with the new strut brace.

I haven't driven it yet but, I would think maybe yes.
Although with the present setup and the dry public roads I have not been able to find the point where the front looses traction.

Finished the undertray repair. Should last for a few more hastily taken speed bumps.

That looks like a good repair!

What do you use to repair these plastic glass fibre type undertrays?

Not so much what I did with my car today, but I drove my son's new to him (today) '09 E92 335i. It is loaded with packages/options including comfort access so I'm a bit jealous  . Very nice car to drive (with DCT trans and M-Sport suspension) but very different to the Z4 in driving characteristics, including the run-flats on the E92 which definitely transmit more of the road 'imperfections'...

I used this: Silverhook BIGK1 Big Boy Glass Fibre Resin Repair Kit https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003N0LDO6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_1mwTDb83GXZ4C

Used it to repair a bathtub and now this! You need to abrade the surface to get a good key as the undertray is ABS and won’t chemically bond. Then sprayed with plastic primer and black bumper paint.

impressive  looks really neat

Washed and hoovered it. Conditioned the seats with some gliptone and fitted genuine wheel centre caps.

Replaced the vacuum pump o rings and a quick once over as it’s MOT Tuesday afternoon. Also gave the headlights a quick polish, pretty pleased with the result.

No way! A forum meet near to where I live!! I will most certainly do my best to make the next!

Went for our last blast of the year, had a nice breakfast. Now cleaned and put under cover until next year. Must sorn it :)

Finished up my winter projects earlier than I thought!

M3 seats fitted and working (actually done last weekend)
Replacement low-tone horn fitted (and it works! only took 3 attempts to find one that wasn't rusted)
Replaced the p/s door membrane with brand-new butyl tape
Fixed my wonky headlight with the OEM repair kit - seriously impressed how easy this was
Replaced broken front wing-to-sill braket
T-cut the front wing where someone got a little too close when parking - managed to take out 99% of the damage.
Then the big one - replacing the p/s rear wing with a replacement. I had to do this a year or so ago and made a bit of a has with it but much better this time. And no more paint defect on the wing.

Only snag was I managed to fubar my roof, or so I thought. Looks like I had accidentally pulled the plunger and release the hydraulic pressure. Pushed it back in and all fixed.

Washed and dried; ready for the commute to work next week.

What a beautiful day. Been out across Dartmoor again love to that place. No one but me out this morning just magical empty moorland road twisting and undulating their way accross the moor in the early morning sunlight. Feckin awesome. :D :driving:

As always washed, dried and tucked away again 30 mins ago.

Disconnected the maintenance charger, wheeled it out of the garage for the first time in six weeks, then took it for a short blast to blow the cobwebs away.
:driving:

You didn't know?
Look out for Crazy Harry's posts, breakfast meet and a chat last Saturday morning every month. Not much doing this time of year, but yesterday we discussed doing some runs and maybe a show or two come the spring. Whereabouts are you anyway?

Surely there’s still the odd sunny weekend day here and there? Too early IMO lol :driving:
