Same with my missus' A200. Looks great and everyone comments on how expensive it must have been. It wasn't, but people just see the badge and body kit.
The auto box with paddles is fantastic and it's really comfortable. I love doing the weekend shopping trips in it. But it isn't exciting. It's actually boring to drive normally. Drive a Z4 normally and it still feels a bit different to everything else.
Same here, I drive a lot of fairly new cars BMW/Audi/Merc mainly at work and at home the wife's got a newer 1 series. All refined as hell but not much fun. Now if I was repping etc up and down a motorway all day bring on one of these newer cars with an auto box, but for fun driving give me something more fun/agile/aural and less detached

Absolutely. I bought my Z when it was around 5 years old, and I think I prefer it even more now that I look at it as a bit of a relic.
I sat in the new Z4 today, again. It does ooze with a fair bit of quality, and feels better than most of the recent BMWs I’ve been in. But it just carries so much size, and to me feels like a 2 seater on a 3/4 series platform.
I'm guessing yours must have been coded at some time, as I believe the roof would not go up using the fob, from the factory (roof down with the fob was enabled from factory). If so, nice bonus for youfreeriderdave said:After topping up my oil on my 2003 3.0L e85 i noticed my windows eere down a bit. Couldn't figure out why as the keys were in my pocket. Got my keys out of said pocket, thought strange. Then held down unlock button and lo and behold the roof went down. Kept lock button pressed, roof went up. I did not know it did that. Result.

Try £570 for the Z4M instead!ronk said:Today - 1st May I donated £325 to the DVLA for my VED

Funny you should say that. Been into both BMW Manchester and Warrington in the past few weeks and thought I'd check it out while I was there. Neither dealership had one in the showroom. Bizarre for a brand spanking new model!Phoenixboy said:Quick trip to the stealers to cast an eye over the new z.

Could well be true!
I noticed earlier this week that Nissan have quietly dropped the 370Z from production with no drop top version of its successor planned. The future looks a bit bleak for 2 seater drop tops
