What have you done to your car today?

Cheers! Got me thinking now lol

I'd offer you my set, but I may change back from the black's one day. It's a quick and easy job to swap them over, so it's a good way of changing the look of the car - especially handy when the urge to mod for no good reason is getting the better of you

I can confirm that my graphite kidney grilles are standard. I find it quite funny that BMW decided that 3 litre cars need a different colour grille :?

Had my Z for 6 months and recently started experiencing some pretty bad lurching on take-off and changing from first to second, so got rid of this little bastard. To my dismay, it did not really help much. Then I read about adaptive throttle reset. Did that this morning and lurching seems to be gone, plus no more waiting for the CDV to engage, and things are smoother and faster in lower gears. I’m withholding judgement at the moment - sensitivity of gear change seems to be correlated with wind direction in this car - but hopefully it stays as it is.

Especially when the M's are black

Much prefer black ones. I have gloss black kidney's now.

Mine can be a bit of a pig in first/second gear coming back on the throttle from zero throttle. It's as though I'm stamping my foot down with the finesse of a donkey's hind hoof sometimes, kangarooing around (worst in Sport mode). I must try this reset.

Yes, Try the reset. Sport mode amplifies the problem, in my experience.

Basically, CDV and adaptive throttle are 2 systems that should never have been in the car in the first place. Anyone know how to turn off adaptive throttle permanently? Can it be coded off?

Can't be coded out but could be re-mapped out on the ECU with an experienced tuner. 99% of people don't have an issue with adaptive throttle though I suspect.
