So what ever happened to that convertible that was sitting in your driveway before you moved here to the new house?
I don't want to talk about it, nearly destroyed my friendship, I let her borrow it and she got it stuck on some railroad tracks, the tow truck driver broke a bunch of plastic on the front end and bent something dragging it off the tracks. She was supposed to pay for repairs, still hasn't... it's been sitting ever since. Why, do you want it?
Yes! I have always wanted a project car!
So, over a year later, after I had given up on the notion I would ever get the car, it was towed to my house last week. No key, no title, dead battery.
Had a locksmith come out and make a key, $300. Got a refurb battery for $50. Ordered a Creator C310 OBD2 for $60, so I'm out 400 bucks for a free car, lol.
I got it to start, runs rough (you think?) Pulled it in the garage dragging parts along the way and got the front clip off, they had wire holding parts of it together and to keep it from falling off. Actually drove it down the block, maybe 100 yards and back, engine light comes on, DSC, transmission light, oil light, brakes... Tires all have flat spots from sitting for so long and one of them has a leak.
Now waiting for the code reader, sill go from there.
