Hmmm.. i didnt suggest that as you said it was still giving you miles to destination and ETA time, which it won't if you cancel the guidance

You'll get used to it, there's not a lot I'd change on mine, particularly now I can turn off speed camera lady.

Nearly Andy, it gave the miles but the ETA was the current time.

He does not need to as he drives an M ... objects come quicker to us so no glasses needed

Pity that solution isn't the cause of my problem - mine won't do any route (orignal or new) once it's in that mode and it just comes back on a couple of days later.

What s/w version are you on?

v32 and 2009-01 maps.
