What Happened To LOCKDOWN!

Pretty predictable behaviour across the Uk today  proof you will never convince a delinquent they are acting stupid

I'm hoping Boris comes back and puts a proper lockdown in place soon. It needs to be done because people simply can't do as they're told.

I heard hardly anyone out and about today. I live facing a children's park and a grass area. There was no one there today, yet days previous there were kids playing football and all sorts.

So it seems next door but one (with the gormless teenager) have got some mates round for a barbecue. :headbang:

Stupid is as stupid does!

These are the selfish dickheads that will keep us from moving on for a lot longer than predicted :x

Personally i have no problem with these people catching the virus and suffering the consequences but sadly they will more or likely pass it on to a decent human being who will suffer the ignorance they are showing

Crazy here - Landfill collected as usual.

Recycling collected as usual, but garden rubbish not collected and of course everyone has loads now they've started cutting their grass.

They usually collect it the same week as recycling, so why can't they still do that? :headbang:

Especially as they will only take it if you pay a subscription to get the garden bin emptied, or put it in their paper bags that they sell for £1 each. So loads of grass cuttings in paper bags for weeks is really going to end well - not!

They’re on limited staff. The wagons are only carrying two workers now as opposed to three normally. One man down per round equals a lot of un emptied bins.

Why are staff limited - is it just more money-saving by furloughing them?

But with limited numbers then I suppose it makes sense - I'm never up early enough to see that!

No it’s so there are just two workers per wagon Mr Tidy to minimise virus spread, simple as that.

All 3 of my bins usually get emptied every Friday.

This week, only my non recyclable waste got taken.
Next week onwards its only non recyclable and recycling bins being emptied.

No garden waste is being taken for the foreseeable.

So I guess I can't cut my grass/bushes/tree's until next year? :headbang: right now, that's the only bit of outside exercise I can get. It also helps me mentally, so I'm going to be an absolute mess by the time this is over

If you have the space, compost it. :)

That's just messy

They stopped the recycling the week before last in Bucks, but have now resumed it. Just the garden and food recycling has stopped for now.

Last week they managed to resurface about half a mile of road, but this was a quiet country lane and the surface had hardly any damage :headbang:
They seem to do this a lot around here, main roads falling apart and they resurface a service road behind houses, car park or some other quiet road

That's what my Borough Council suggested, but then what do you do with the compost? :?

Once it has composted (Google the skill required) you dig in into the flower beds or veggie plot. Your Local Council may drop off a composter for a small charge (mine did). Now that you have the time, it is a great skill to learn.

What flower beds and veggie plots?

If I had that sort of estate I'd just burn it! (Although I understand that is also a no-no just now).

With the benefit of hindsight I wish I had just dug up all the hedges at the front of my house and paved that area for Z4 parking before planning permission was required!

My flower beds are all covered in purple slate. No way am I picking all those up, digging in new compost and then putting the slate back down again

Anyway, looks like things are about to get tougher due to idiots going out sunbathing :headbang: I get it, you probably don't have a garden if you're going out to public spaces to sunbathe, but the sun will still be there in a few months for you to get a nice tan
