What great weather we are having

I bought my M coupe and have been waiting to drive it for just over a month. Had great weather the last two weeks and as my insurance started on the 1st of june the skies opened up and its been raining most of the day how great.

It's depressing. I was at work earlier in the week, looking outside at the beautiful weather and looking forward to taking the zed out on the weekend. And we end up with this shite...

Roof down driving in the rain is great, if you keep the speed above 30mph, only the heaviest downpour will get you wet :)

I'm a little pi55ed off with the weather. I've added Weds-Fri to the bank holidays and was planning on taking #69 and the camera for some road trips. Follow my nose stuff. This weather sucks. At this rate I'm going to Heathrow and getting on the first plane somewhere warm for a mid week break.

Mine's in the garage mid-way through a paint clean, polish and wax session. Nip out, do a panel, nip back in... TBH the weather isn't pi$$ing me off as much as it should cos it means I can take my time over the next couple of days, working from home rest of the week, then a quick spiff up prior to the Sussex meet :driving:

I haven't got use to the car yet and dont fancy finding out its limits in the wet as i need to build up my confidence/skill or lack of. I hope tomorrow is a better day so far weather forecast shows no rain. But on the plus side my garden has got a much needed watering.

Sensible point, well made. I did the A93 Braemar road in the wet, and loved every minute of it. However, I knew the car and its limits by this point.

I'm sure it'll dry up soon. You'll be out hooning in no time

you dont have to go hooning straight away, just build up slowly in the rain etc, brake early for corners etc im sure u ll manage it, after a year of driving i managed a zed and it was the superior handling 2.0, so im sure youll be okay
today though in the dry, third gear, foot down going off a roundabout at about 25, traction control light permanently on up to 50 mph lol

Also im the kind of person that has to cover the car as i have a lot of cats in the area and they love sitting on cars. which means i have to give the car a wipe down before i cover the car and cant be arsed to do that after working 13-14 a day for the last two weeks.

I had a hairy moment today on a wet road. Scary stuff!

Had enough of the crap weather we have been having and have been out and about and the car holds well in the rain and can feel the rear twitching but it feels predictable. Also tried launching the car on a nice dry quiet road but alot harder than i thought spun up the rears in first second and starting fish tailing and then gave up as i dont fancy eating my tyres but so far so good.
